Columbia Falls · Montana
Small hotel.
Bigger experience.
11 miles from Glacier National Park’s West Glacier entrance, Wonderstone at Glacier is a focused, design-forward boutique hotel — spotless rooms, comfortable beds, a team that knows this valley, and a welcome that feels genuine, not scripted. Everything you need for Glacier; nothing you don’t.
Our philosophy
Built for people who actually go outside
The mountains don't care what star rating your room is. But after twelve miles on the trail, you care a lot about a bed that's genuinely comfortable, a shower that works, and a face at the front desk that looks up when you walk in.
We built Wonderstone at Glacier around that idea. Two boutique properties in Columbia Falls — a short drive from the west entrance of Glacier National Park — designed by people who stay in hotels, not just own them. Every decision, from the linens to the lighting, came down to one question: would we want to sleep here after a big day in the park?
What we stand for
Three words. One standard.
Spotless
Every room is cleaned to a standard that actually means something. Crisp linens, zero shortcuts, a space you're genuinely glad to walk back into after a long day on the trail.
Warm
Our team lives here. They know the park the way a ranger does — where the crowds aren't, which road opens first, the coffee shop worth the detour. Expect a real hello, not a scripted one.
Local
We hire from the Flathead Valley and take pride in it. When you ask for a recommendation, you get an honest answer in the language that feels most natural — because the person behind the desk actually cares.
Wonderstone
The flagship
7336 US Highway 2 E, Columbia Falls, MT 59912
Our flagship — spotless, design-forward rooms guests call “immaculate,” and a welcoming lobby with complimentary gourmet coffee on tap, 11 miles from Glacier’s west entrance.
Our main building is where the story started. Warm tones, clean lines, and a lobby that invites you to linger — whether you're planning tomorrow's route on the map or just winding down with a glass of something local. Rooms range from our King Suite to the Bunkhouse, so there's a fit for every kind of Glacier trip.
Riverstone
The sister property
3395 MT Highway 206, Columbia Falls, MT 59912
Our newer building of smartly designed, modern rooms — the same spotless standard and thoughtful touches, a great-value base camp for adventure-first travelers.
Riverstone is the adventure-first choice: cleverly designed micro and standard rooms that give you everything you need for a great night's sleep without the frills you'll never use. Ideal for solo travelers, couples chasing early-morning trailheads, and anyone who wants a clean, comfortable bed and great value in the same package.
Our team
Local people. Real welcome.
We hire from the Flathead Valley because we believe your host should love where you're staying as much as you do. Our front desk team is bilingual — English and Spanish — so every guest feels at home from the moment they arrive.
They can tell you which campground fills first, which day-hike is worth the early alarm, and where to get huckleberry pie that tastes like Montana. That kind of local knowledge doesn't come from a franchise playbook.
This is a small team that takes genuine pride in what they do. When something isn't right, they fix it — no manager required. When something is great, they made it that way on purpose.

Where we are
The best seat in the valley
Columbia Falls sits at the gateway to the Flathead Valley — close enough to Glacier that you're in the park in minutes, far enough that you're not paying resort prices or sharing a parking lot with a thousand strangers.
Glacier Park International Airport (FCA) is about 20–25 minutes away. Whitefish, with its restaurants and shops, is roughly 20 minutes. The west entrance to Glacier National Park is 11 miles east on Highway 2. Going to the Sun Road typically opens fully in early July — always check current conditions and timed-entry requirements at nps.gov/glac.
